BAY STATE BREAKERS 6-4 OVER SPRINGFIELD JR PICS

Bay State  made the score 6-3 on a goal by Liam Coyle at 7:06 in the third period, and Springfield Jr Pics got as close as 6-4 when Kevin Slyne scored 13:36 into the third period.

Cameron Miglietta was all over the ice for Bay State Breakers, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Miglietta scored 19:51 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Thomas Cahill provided the assist.

Bay State Breakers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Springfield Jr Pics to score on any of its five power plays. The Breakers' offense rang up 33 shots on Springfield Jr Pics' net. Bay State Breakers found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season, scoring at the pace of 3.7 goals per game during the current campaign.  They were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 30 penalty minutes.

Points were also earned  from David Hasenfuss, grabing one goal and one assist and Cahill, who also had one goal and one assist. Bay State Breakers also got a goal from Francis OBrien as well. In addition, Bay State Breakers received assists from James Crockett and Sean Doherty, who contributed one a piece and Bryan Bachelder, Eric Costa, and Mason Sloan, who each chipped in two.

Springfield Jr Pics found itself shorthanded often, totaling 42 penalty minutes and allowing 15 power plays.
Springfield Jr Pics was led by Chase Broten, who finished with two goals. Broten scored the first of his two goals at 4:06 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Springfield Jr Pics. Broten's next tally made the score 3-3 with 6:50 left in the second period. Tyler Reopel also scored for Springfield Jr Pics. Other players who recorded assists for Springfield Jr Pics were Zachary Smith, who had one.
