CHA Announces Post-Season Playoff Format

The CHA has set March 12, 13, and 14 as the dates for its 2010 Junior B and Junior C Playoffs.  Both playoffs will be held at the newly refurbished Warwick Ice Arena in Warwick Township, PA.

This year, the CHA's top eight Junior B teams will face off in post-season Playoff competition, and the top four Junior C teams will meet in Playoffs.  The format for each of the Playoffs (Junior B and Junior C) will be a seeded double elimination tournament.

Click here to see the game times and the seed match-ups for the first round of play.  In the Playoff layout, numbers for starting seed match-ups are shown on the far left.  The game times and rink numbers are shown in red, with "F" for Friday, March 12th, "Sat" for March 13th, and "Sun" for March 13th.  Game number is shown at the right of each game slot.

Because the CHA's Junior B and Junior C Playoffs are double elimination tournaments, the final games at each level (i.e., Game 15 for Junior B and Game 7 for Junior C) will only be played if necessary.

With the way the Junior B and Junior C standings are shaping up for the season, each of the Playoff series stands to be an exciting match-up of very talented and competitive teams.
