Tribute to Our Troops

One Man's Son
I’ve attached a picture for those of you who know him. He said he just finished up a mission (Operation Dagger), which was broadcast on CNN recently. Their job was to search the Iraqi desert north of Baghdad for large weapons caches and insurgent training camps. Operation Dagger kicked off on Saturday (06/18) aimed at rousting insurgents from a section of Al Anbar province. The roughly battalion-size operation of about 800 American and Iraqi troops, backed up with air support from F/A-18 jets and Cobra attack helicopters, has searched the eastern coast of Lake Tharthar and the adjacent desert since early Saturday. In March, an Army unit discovered an insurgent training camp in the area.
He doesn’t share much about his activities there (I always get the classic answer when I ask – I can’t tell you). Anyway, it’s nice to know that he is safe and back in camp near Fallujah.
